The safety, development, and well-being of each person are key pillars of our strategy and the foundation of the strong team we are.
At Grupo Herdez® we foster an organizational culture rooted in inclusion and diversity, promoting gender equality and encouraging the inclusive and sustainable economic growth of our people. We provide safe, healthy work environments aligned with best practices. Our commitment is reflected in initiatives that range from occupational risk prevention to health promotion and the overall development of our team.
Through our social awareness and active commitment, we work to achieve food security and improve nutrition in the country. This value is brought to life through two key lines of action: Saber Nutrir® and Fundación Herdez®.
At Grupo Herdez®, we continuously evaluate 100% of our domestic and export portfolio to identify potential impacts on consumer health and safety.
Our commitment also involves labeling products in accordance with the regulations of each country where they are marketed, and offering a diversified portfolio with additional information to support informed consumption decisions.
In 2024, at Grupo Herdez® we reinforced the nutritional mapping of our portfolio to identify artificial additives and warning labels, with the goal of reducing critical nutrients and eliminating additives in accordance with Mexican authorities. As a result, we updated our product development policy to better control these nutrients and ensure appropriate formulations, establishing stricter criteria than those required by national regulations, through initiatives such as Clean Label and Better for You.
At Grupo Herdez® we conduct annual audits of our Food Safety System Certification (FSSC 22000) programs at all production plants, except Coronel and Villagrán, reaffirming our commitment to consumer health and to the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
We implement corrective actions, such as reviewing raw material and packaging specifications, and update documents to strengthen safety across our value chain. In addition, we promote our Quality and Food Safety Culture Program to ensure these principles are embedded in the values and behaviors across our entire organization.
