At Grupo Herdez® we operate under a strategic framework that has enabled us to mitigate risks and make significant progress on our path toward sustainable development.
We align our strategy with 7 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), structured around three pillars that guide our management: People, Community, and Planet.
In 2022, through the issuance of sustainability-linked bonds HERDEZ 22L and HERDEZ 22-2L, we committed to reducing our water consumption per ton produced by 25% by 2030, aiming to reach 1.98 m³ per ton. By the end of 2024, we achieved 21.7% progress toward the goal, reaching an intensity of 2.06 m³.
The management of our sustainability strategy is the responsibility of the Sustainability Committee, made up of the Group’s Executive Committee and led by the Finance and Sustainability Division.
In 2024, demand for our products exceeded the total volume produced during the year. However, we successfully met this demand thanks to available inventory in our distribution centers (CEDIS).
Tons produced: total volume of products manufactured. Tons sold: total volume of products marketed.

At Grupo Herdez® we apply a continuous supplier evaluation model to assess their environmental, social, and regulatory performance, helping to minimize reputational risks and promote sustainability. In 2024, 100 suppliers were assessed, with 76% aligned with our sustainability objectives, and improvement plans were implemented for 11 high-risk cases.
